I am now moving onto modelling my buildings. I am using my research, my animatics and my storyboards to check the positioning of them and the different styles. I have decided to model the buildings in a different scence and then import them in later to risk making mistakes, this will also give me a chance to test my textures when they are complete.
I used all of the pre-production stages to model these building, on some I decided to destroy one side of the building and thought about what we could see inside. I wanted to show the rooms inside the building. On other buildings bits are missing from them and chunks have fallen to the ground.

Below are the buildings I modelled using Maya.
After creating these buildings I thought I would create a block of building which would sit nicely at the far end of the street.
Below is a part of my storyboard which shows the buildings at the far end of the street, this will hopefully make it clear when I talk about the block of buildings.
Below are the block of buildings I have begun to model.
After I had completed modelling the majoritory of my buildings I thought the next step would be to bring them all in together to make sure they look alright next to eachother and it would also be an idea to make sure I have enough buildings.
I will be adding a few trees to the playground to give it something extra, I will be using these from Maya.
I will be adding some lamp posts to the city which will have an orange light shining off it. Here is the process I went through to make them.
I decided to create some rubble to place around my destroyed buildings.
I decided to put half of the city together to help me once I have completed the textures.
